Black expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation is made with added graphite. The advantage of this material, BASF Neopor graphite polystyrene (GPS), is that not only does it slow down heat transfer the same as EPS, but the graphite additive reflects the heat internally. This further increases the insulation efficiency of the material. It contains 10% recycled material.
