The floor of the Apex, Bury St Edmunds, England, by Hopkins Architects, completed 2010. The interior is clad in 18 mm American white oak planks, fixed to a plywood substrate to optimise the acoustics. Oak is incredibly hardwearing and suitable for heavy traffic floors.
