Flax mycelium material is produced from sterilised agricultural waste (in this case flax shives) mixed with Ganoderma mycelium mushroom grain spawn. It is manufactured by Ecovative. They produce a range of mycelium materials that are used in moulded packaging, structural panels (door cores, furniture cores and building construction) and textiles. It is quite brittle and so lends itself to thick wall sections.
